If we book tickets in advance, can they be collected on the day?
You will need to print out the confirmation for the on-line ticket purchase and bring this along on the day as this will be exchanged for a wristband at the entrance.
Can my tickets be refunded if I am unable to attend on the day?
Tickets are non-refundable, non-returnable, and non-transferable. The non-transferable rule is in place to help us stamp out organised touting.
Do we still need to order a ticket for our children aged 4 and under even though they’re free of charge?
Children aged 4 and under are free of charge but do need a ticket so that we can keep track of total numbers to make sure that we keep within our license. Children 4 and under will also be ‘wrist-banded’ on arrival at the Festival. We have a maximum of 2 Children or Young People per adult. Proof of age may be requested.
Will we be able to purchase tickets on the gate?
There will be no tickets on the gate for sale at this year’s festival as we expect to sell out before the event . Please see the ‘Tickets’ page for more information.
Can I buy tickets locally?
Yes, tickets will be available locally through a number of agents, including Yalding – Post Office, Tea Rooms, Teapot Island and The Walnut Tree pub

Can I bring alcohol into the arena?
NO. Only plastic 500ml bottles containing water or soft drinks will be allowed into the arena. Absolutely no glass.
I will be bringing my baby to Vicar’s Picnic and the food on offer will not be suitable, what do I do?
Baby food will be allowed into the arena, just please make sure it is in plastic containers.
Will there be any covered areas if it rains?
There are a number of covered areas including the bars and the Marquee stage etc.
Can I bring my dog to Vicar’s Picnic?
Unfortunately dogs are not allowed anywhere on site apart from guide dogs for the blind. This is a condition of our Public Entertainment Licence.
Will I be able to re-enter the site if I leave during the day?
We hope you won’t want to, and we try to ensure you won’t need to. However, everyone entering the site will be issued with a wrist band and they will need to show this if they wish to leave and re-enter the site at any time.
Will there be seating?
The festival is all standing and it is not possible to book seats, or to bring bulky furniture into the arena. You may bring a small folding chair, although this will need to be stacked away after it becomes dark to prevent this becoming a safety hazard.
Can we take our own chairs?
Vicar’s Picnic isn’t a ‘picnic show’, and people tend to stand to watch the acts on the main stage. We therefore don’t allow people to bring furniture into the main arena as it would be a safety problem, and you wouldn’t be able to see much anyway! However, you MAY bring a small folding chair, rugs or shooting-sticks, so you needn’t be on your feet all day. Anything that is deemed too ‘bulky’ will not be allowed into the arena so please consider this before entering. The folding chairs will need to be stacked away after it becomes dark to prevent this becoming a safety hazard
Can we bring a wind break or sun tent into the arena?”
No – they are a huge risk to yours and other festival-goers’ safety. In an emergency we would need to evacuate the arena as quickly and as safely as possible. Clambering over tents, wind breaks etc would hinder a fast exit and therefore put lives at risk. If you are concerned about protecting yourself or your children from the sun (should we be lucky enough to get some!), please make sure you bring plenty of sun cream and hats.
Is there a central meeting point?
There is an information point at the Festival, which you can use as a meeting point.
Will there be ATMs at the festival?
No, so we suggest that you bring plenty of cash, but we hope to have a cash back facility provided by the bar.
Is there phone charging available on site?
No, there will not be able to charge your phone on the site.
Are there lockers on site?
No, there will not be any storage facilities available to campers and day visitors.
